Ascorbyl Glucoside, Zinc PCA -Stabilized Vitamin C and Zinc PCA that comprehensively combats the pigments Melanin and Lipofuscin, which are both responsible for the appearance of age spots. It works inhibiting the formation of melanin and protein aggregates, such as Lipofuscin. Zinc PCA, the zinc salt of pyrrolidonic carboxylic acid, activates the Vitamin C transporter. This way Ascorbyl glucoside can be taken up more efficiently by the skin cells and can exhibit a better inhibitory effect on melanogenesis.
Zizphus Jujuba Seed Extract – demonstrates great promise in tightening up Claudin – 1 Junctions. Claudins are tight junction membrane proteins that are expressed in epithelia and endothelia and form paracellular barriers and pores that determine tight junction permeability.
